Soundtrack album of Elvis' 18th movie. For the first time in his career, the budget did not allow new songs to be commissioned for a Presley film. The soundtrack was assembled from previously released recordings, recycling nine songs in total with some dating back to recording sessions from 1960.
This CD contain the original 'Tickle Me' US EP version, the 'Tickle Me, Vol. 2' UK EP version and bonus tracks.
South Africa was the only country to release a Tickle Me soundtrack LP.
The 2002 Castle/BMG vinyl LP featured 18 of these songs plus 2 film trailers and this CD includes exactly the same tracks plus 5 'bonus' songs.
The sleeve and booklet wrongly shows 'Doc Pomus/Mort Shuman' as the composers of 'I Feel That I've Known You Forever', that should be 'Doc Pomus/Alan Jeffreys'.
The photo of the CD on the inside, incorrectly states 'Night Rider' was written by 'Doc Pomus/Alan Jeffreys', that should be 'Doc Pomus/Mort Shuman'.
The master of 'Dirty, Dirty Feeling' (track 5) is indicated in the booklet as running 03:35 which is wrong, as it runs just 1:34 minutes.

*1) The Original single of 'I'm Yours' was a splice of take 6 and workpart ending take 2, and it was that version which was released on the UK EP. On the sleeve and booklet of this CD, however, what is listed as being the 'undubbed single version' of 'I'm Yours' is actually only the complete take 6, without the splice with workpart ending take 2.
*2) While the album master of 'I'm Yours' is the same splice of take 6 and workpart ending take 2, it has also a harmony vocal overdub by Elvis. The Master of the vocal overdub is a splice of takes 6 and 5.
