"From Memphis to Vegas / From Vegas to Memphis" (LSP 6020) was the first double lp by Elvis, but also the first official live album. The first album consisted of recordings from his 1969 Las Vegas shows, Elvis' first live performances since his March 1961 benefit concert in Hawaii. The second album consisted of recordings from the winter of 1969 sessions at American Sound not used for "From Elvis in Memphis", they were basically leftovers or had previously appeared as b-sides. In November 1970, RCA reissued the set as individual albums identified by the subtitles that appeared on the original double LP, "Elvis in Person at the International Hotel" as LSP 4428 and "Back in Memphis" as LSP 4429 |

*1) The rhythmn track of "Inherit The Wind" was recorded on January 15, with the track master being take 4. Elvis recorded two vocal overdubs (VO1 and VO2) to this backing track on January 21 and the vocal master was then a composite of the two vocal overdubs, as follows: VO1 (0:00-0:41) VO2 (0:42-0:54) "That's how it is when you inherit the wind, inherit the wind" VO1 (0:55-1:36) VO2 (1:37-1:47) "Breath" VO1 (1:48-2:29) VO2 (2:30-2:56) |

Charlie Hodge added a harmony vocal overdub to this, to cover up some residual original vocals that were left on the backing track. |

*6) The master of "From A Jack To A King" is take 5, but with Elvis' mock voice ("you made me king of your heart") spliced out (2:04-2:07 replaced by 1:16-1:19 from take 5). |
*7) The master of "The Fair's Moving On" is take 1, recorded on February 21, but Elvis did a vocal repair on this, possibly on February 22. |
*8) The master of "You'll Think Of Me" is take 23, recorded on January 14, but Elvis' vocals were removed from this, leaving only a backing track. Elvis then recorded new vocals to this track on January 21. |
