*1) Tracks 1 to 12 were recorded during a stage rehearsal on the afternoon of August 10 1970 on a 16-track tape machine,
but almost all intros were not recorded. Here FTD have reconstructed those openings by using pieces from live performances of the same songs;
however they did not observe the correct running order of the rehearsal.
The August 10 1970 rehearsal can be found as it was originally recorded, with incomplete intros, on the bootleg "Hang Loose" (Bilko CD 1597) released in 1991,
although again, it was not presented in its correct running order, and is missing "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" (#2). |
|
*2) "Polk Salad Annie" was not only spliced with the intro from the live version, but also as a verse spliced in from the second version of
"Polk Salad Annie" from this rehearsal. |
|
*3) The first version of "I've Lost You" is missing on this CD. |
|
*4) Tracks 13 to 18 were recorded through the microphone of a portable cassette recorder by Don Lance,
during stage rehearsals at the Las Vegas Hilton (formerly the International Hotel) in August 1972. |
|
*5) Elvis does a brief, unidentified blues number before "Portrait of My Love". |
